Sideplate

The sideplate is the most important custom part of the scooter. It holds all of the components together, spaces the gearbox correctly, and takes all of the load from the back wheel and the person riding on the scooter. The plate is made out of 1/4" thick 5051 sheet aluminum. Below is a drawing and 3D model of the plate:
